Curriculum & Programs
Prince of Peace Learning Center uses the ABEKA Curriculum in all classrooms. Its focus is the Bible, which is the foundation of all learning, and daily lessons focus on Reading, Mathematics, Science, Health, Language and History. Each child is provided with their own set of workbooks from which to use in class.
Weekly Enrichment Programs are included in tuition and is comprised of Gymnastics, Science/STEM, Music, Art Techniques, Chapel, and a weekly Technology. The Reptile Wrangler and various other community helpers visit us on a monthly basis. We also offer afterschool Dance classes in Ballet & Hip-Hop through Dance Academy West (at an additional fee).
A healthy snack is provided by the school in the morning and again during afterschool. The parent should provide a lunchbox with a healthy lunch daily.
We have two shaded playgrounds for exercise and gross motor development. All equipment is closely monitored for damage and playgrounds are regularly inspected to assure safety.
The entire school participates in Chapel on Wednesday morning facilitated by our church Pastor. During chapel, we hear what Jesus did during his life and how we can be like Jesus in our daily lives. We also sing songs and take up a monetary offering to help children understand the importance of sharing with less fortunate families.
